What Is the Litany of Trust?
The Litany of Trust is a contemporary Catholic prayer written by Sr. Faustina Maria Pia, SV, of the Sisters of Life. It is designed to help the faithful let go of fear, self-reliance, and mistrust—and instead grow in radical confidence in God’s mercy and providence.
At its heart, the prayer is about surrendering everything to Jesus, and responding to life’s uncertainties with the words:
“Jesus, I trust in You.”

When to Pray the Litany of Trust
You can pray the Litany of Trust:
- In Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament

How to Prepare
Before beginning the prayer, take a few moments to:
- Find a quiet space — ideally before the Blessed Sacrament or in a place of silence.
